Yoville developers have added a new option called YoCash. And you need it in order to buy pets, velvet furniture, and some clothes. But you can only get it by credit card.
A lot of Yovillians have made a fuss about this update because they refuse to pay money for a virtual game.
Anyway, the developers may change their mind...

Oh yeah. People were bugging out about the yocash. I know many of them went on a boycott/strike today over the issue.
Me personally, I think it's ridiculous...but the drama they caused makes it just more fun to stand outside and 'protest' LOL

I think this is a fantastic idea, i myself bought YoCash to purchase new items... I know alot of YoVillians are angry at this but c'mon guys this game is 95% free, you dont have to buy YoCash as in many of events i see Pets for sale, Velvet items for sale... Its your choice to buy or not & i choose to buy...

I disagree with yocash, and won't be buying anything with it. I wish the devs had/might consider at least put a dual payment system in place, so that those YoVillians who have been saving coins for the past month would have the choice. Nice newspaper by the way. It's what I had intended doing myself, but have adapted my blog to a diary instead. Come take a look.
Free yocash, that's a joke. I did the surveys followed the directions, clicked on what I was supposed to and never received the FREE yocash. I inquired about it and received a generic response to my inquiry. It's a joke and a waste of time. They get your info and then hammer you with e-mails, but you will not see a dime.
i think that you should not have to pay for yocash, a virtual game should be 100% free. The yocash shouldnt be free but you should be able to buy it with yoville coins because you cant trade or gift yocash and it is so expensive to buy yocash items from other people coz they charge a couple of thousands and it is not right so i really hope they do change their mind.

Well, the developers should get paid for the hard work they put into making and maintaining the game site. You pay for Playstation, and Wii and anyother game you want to play, why not this one. There's not a whole lot out there for entertainment that is free.
ok i dont really mind about the whole having to buy yocash thing but i think its kinda stupid?

it is unfair to purchase something for a fake cah though we enjoy playing yoville.. why not convert the yocoins to yocash.. the developer should think that some yovillians are students and CANNOT AFFORD in paying in the yocash.. they are going to pay thousand of money for yocash (dollars convert to philippine money).. playing facebook applications is enjoyable and it should not be remain like that.. no money talks...

i think yoville should stop people from scamming and for work not only give us coins for 2 yocash as well that way every one is getting yocash to save up for something they always wanted for like 22 yocash like a dog or cat
